EyeQue’s patented, award-winning Personal Vision Tracker is the world’s only accurate, affordable, and easy to use, at-home vision test. Easily test your vision, update your prescription glasses and order them online – all from the comfort and convenience of your own home.
Invented by Dr. John Serri, MIT Grad & Atomic Physicist. EyeQue is Doctor-Tested & Doctor-Approved!
I was skeptical, but decided to try it since I needed a new eyeglasses prescription. Using it to test my eyes was really easy. I had a pair of bifocals made by zennioptical.com using the numbers given by the EyeQue test results, and they perform well. I’ll still see an ophthalmologist every two years to make sure my eyes are healthy , but I think I can skip the optomerist visits. A++!
I’m giving the EyeQue Personal Vision Tracker 5 stars because it provided eyeglass numbers which resulted in better glasses than two previous prescriptions by my eye doctor.
Love the product! How great to take an eye test at home! I believe the results are better than my last eye exam.

Every EyeQue Personal Vision Tracker includes the miniscope and the free app (Android or iOS). The miniscope is a sophisticated optical device. But don’t let its humble appearance fool you.
Inside the smooth and rounded tube hides several highly engineered, expertly designed, and intricately manufactured lenses that can give you a measurement of your eyes’ refractive errors in minutes.
Step 1: Remove the protective sticker and attach the miniscope to your smartphone.
Step 2: Look into the miniscope and relax your eyes.
Step 3: Tap the buttons on screen to overlap the lines, (yes, this is the test!).
Step 4: Rotate the eyepiece after each measurement. The quick test has 3 measurements per eye; The full test is more comprehensive, with 9 measurements per eye.
Step 5: Review your progress and track your eyesight over time.
The Personal Vision Tracker works for most people. Some customers may have trouble using it due to accommodation (eyes’ focusing abilities) which can sometimes happen with young adults (under 25 years of age). That said, if you’re not 100% satisfied with your experience, you have a full 30-Day, no hassle, money-back guarantee.
Very accurate! Since your vision fluctuates throughout the day, taking multiple tests at different times of the day gives a better average refraction than a one-time refraction test during an office visit. Especially if you’re having a bad day! The MIT-patented technology powering EyeQue has been extensively tested with over 18,000 users and has been optimized to give excellent refraction values for ordering eyeglasses.
After each completed vision test in “Test” mode, your results will be uploaded and evaluated through EyeQue’s powerful analytics contained in the EyeQue Cloud™. The EyeQue Cloud™ will determine a confidence level based on your test. A high confidence level will result in EyeGlass Numbers being displayed on your screen. If there is inconsistency in the test results (i.e. a low confidence level), EyeGlass Numbers will not be displayed and you will be prompted to either take the test again or have our friendly and helpful EyeQue Customer Experience team help you further.
The short answer is, yes.
You can buy eyeglasses from online retailers that don’t require an eye care provider’s prescription certification. The results generated from your EyeQue Personal Vision Tracker (PVT) are EyeGlass Numbers (EGNs) – presented in the same format as a traditional eyeglass prescription, including your spherical, cylindrical and axis measurements, to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. Since the test is self-administered (not performed by a doctor), the results are not prescriptions.
However, you can use the EGNs to order eyeglasses online. We’ve even listed some of our favorite retailers below.
The Personal Vision Tracker generates EyeGlass Numbers which include the NV ADD (reading) measurement based on your age. The EyeGlass Numbers can be used to order glasses online – single vision, bifocals, and progressives.
Compared to trifocals lenses, which have three different zones, progressive lenses offer a smooth transition from near vision, to intermediate vision to distance vision, and all the corrections in-between. This eases eye strain and provides the most natural vision correction. Progressives are also known as no-line bifocals or multifocal. They are a top choice for many people who don’t like the look of trifocals and still want the benefits of trifocals.
Unlike traditional office visits that you make once a year, you can use the EyeQue anywhere, anytime. All you need is a smartphone and an active internet connection. No need to schedule ahead, drive through traffic, and wait at the office only to sit through boring lectures or sales spiels.
In comparison, each VisionCheck test takes about 5 minutes to complete once you understand the process. Most first-time users get great results after taking 3 or 4 tests, usually under 30 minutes in total. EyeQue is hassle free and gives back hours of your valuable time.
Your easy-to-use, personalized dashboard can be accessed through your secure EyeQue account and contains a multitude of information about your vision. This includes detailed reports showing and explaining your results, as well as the consistency of your testing. The report even compares your vision results with the general EyeQue population! Use your most updated EyeGlass Numbers (EGNs) to order glasses online from trusted retailers or share them with your eye care provider.
Absolutely. While taking the vision test, your eyes are exposed to only the light from your smartphone’s screen, which of us look at daily. The miniscope is made with a soft silicone eyecup that gently fits over your eyes for maximum comfort.
The EyeQue Personal Vision Tracker is registered with the US FDA as a Class 1 medical device.
EyeQue products are self-administered vision screening tools and can NOT diagnose macular degeneration or any other eye health issues such as Cataracts, Diabetic retinopathy, or Glaucoma.
Since these conditions are common among adults age forty and beyond, it is important to visit your eye doctor regularly to monitor any vision health changes.
We offer PD Measurement Glasses during checkout. You can use these patent-pending glasses to get your pupillary distance (PD) in a matter of seconds. It works with a free smartphone app that detects your PD just by putting on the glasses and taking a selfie. The results are extremely accurate.
However, Pupillary Distance measurement is optional and is not required to achieve accurate Eye Glass Numbers (EGNs).
The Personal Vision Tracker can measure astigmatism, commonly known as the “cylinder” measurement, up to -4.00D (diopters).
While the Personal Vision Tracker can measure the refractive error in your eyes, there is a limitation to what range it can measure. Those with a cylinder above -4.00 diopters may not receive a proper reading of their eyes.
You can use the EyeQue Personal Vision Tracker to check the effectiveness of your contact lenses by taking an EyeQue vision test while wearing them. The results from the Personal Vision Tracker should not be used to purchase contact lenses.
